Q3 Insta CTF Tourney for Jan Lan?  Reply with quote  

Fathorse would like to organize a Q3 Insta CTF tourney at the Jan Lan...nothing crazy but something more organized than pick-up games. Having not been to one of these LANs in a few years though we're not sure on the numbers you guys usually have playing the game or if you already have something like this in place.

mhmm too bad, ...if everyone had quake 4, delta ctf is what we should play!
I have heard of this so called Fathorse clan, ...*cough* sensei Argonian..*cough*

The problem with Q4 imho is that even with a decent system and net connection it runs like crap compared to previous generation games like Q3 without adding anything to the game that makes up for said crappy performance.

My main Q4 gripe is the rail delay.

I came in on the tail end of the FatHorseness... I even went over to someone's house a couple of times... took a table and ended up leaving it there... I just now remembered about that table too!!! damn... I was a bit absent minded back then.

start practicing then, at least play some defense and make it harder for FH to get your flag... which they'll do a lot anyway, but another body is always good to have. Wink

besides, it's no fun to play by yourself while a tourney is going on.

it would probably be better if the fourth man on a team actually was able to do something other than run around and get killed, but I might give it a go, I'll be out in the first round and would like to take this opportunity to say to who ever's team im on, I'm sorry.

pre-built with FH all on one team? just give the prize to FH... captains pick would be more even and would be the most fun for all involved, i bet. just make sure shinare gets picked last. Wink
