I bought it.
I spend more on beer in a week than I did for that XP, figure for a few good maps and unlocks, why not?

Nice, lots of replies but no votes in the poll.... I'd like to know as well... should I waste 10 bucks on this or is it like special forces and a "Must Pass"?
I also like how they call it a fucking "Booster Pack" like its a little $2 set of cards you buy for your "collectible trading card" game. I suppose thats to make me feel like "Well, I used to spend $2 all the time for MtG cards every few days" I guess I could spend $10 on this...". Fuck that, what it all boils down to, is your paying $10 for a few new maps and some vehicles...something that usually comes free with any other good game out there. _________________ For with what measure you measure it will be measured to you.

I would not waste my money on the booster pack. From what I have seen in the server browser, the servers running the maps is slowly dwindling down. A lot of the servers ran it when it was first released, but after watching half the server get booted when one of the EuroMaps came up, decided it was better to keep a full server.
It's the same thing that happened with Custom Maps on BF42. DICE/EA is getting a taste of their own medicine for not offering an easy way to get custom maps.
As for the booster pack name, Shinare is absolutely right. I read an article about it. They saw it as a marketing ploy targeting their core demographics. Most of the younger generation has grown up with "booster packs", so they felt it would be a big hit. I guess they found out the hard way that it's more than kids playing BF2.
As for Quake 4. It sounds like the overall masses is dissapointed with the game. If there is never anyone online, that's a bad sign. Again, Id is really loosing their grasp on what gamers want. _________________ Atomm Nihilo
