well if you mean Toca Race Driver 2, then that is better. CMR05 is just another rally game. TRD2 is a well polished road racer with real tracks!

you should check out richard burns rally if u like the rally games

I"m gonna say Flatout as well but if I have to choose between the two listed I'll say CMR2005 since that is the only one I have played of the two. Wink

Flatout is N O T a racing game! It is a fun distraction and crash em up derby simulator.

TOCA 2 is a full on balls to the wall racing simulator, but you better have a good wheel to go with it! Smile

A lot of you guys must not have read the question... which is better? Not which is the best of all racing games. Psh, I figured you guys would have been able to figure that out!

Flat Out is fun though.

If memory serves correct you lost last time we played TOCA/TOCA2. Toca Race Driver 2 is a MUCH better game than CMR2005. CMR is fun but nothing anywhere close to as much fun as RD2. RD2 is also ALOT more realistic and allows for ALOT more options during play.

I play games to have fun. I try to stay away from games that are more frustrating than fun.

If I cant sit down to a game and start having fun within a reasonable learning curve, then I kick it to the curb.

TOCA Race Driver 2 is not a painfully hard racing game, I've played a few of those and don't find them fun. RD2 has a great blend of realism with simulation feel but is still simple enough to actually drive fast and enjoy. Its not as dumbed down as FlatOut but it gives reward for skilled driving. Its a great feeling when you've had trouble with a corner for a few laps and you finally figure out the best line through it and gain a few positions on your opponents when you pass them coming out of it. I really wish you guys would be more interested in trying it.
