Games.... seriously. Games are a good prize (for me at least) since I don't go buy lots of them when they come out. (Still need Halo and CoD).

I think having games as a prize would get me to come more often.

to get back on topic...

The problem with games and/or hardware is that if it's worth giving away, more than likely a lot of people are already going to have it. Obviously we're all gamers, so something like a Gamestop gift certificate would be good, but I don't know if you could get those donated or discounted. Movie passes (to any movie, not a certain one) would be cool if you could get a deal on them. The theatre at Penn Sq has helped out other groups that with free passes or gift certificates. (though it may be the most uncomfortable theatre in OKC) Cash is always good, but I'm not sure what the legalities of that kind of thing would be.

honestly I don't need/require prizes to attend the okgg. Infact I feel that it just slows the gameplay down.

My only problem with giving out games, hardware, etc. is that people win stuff they can't use or don't want. Gift certificates are OK but they are limited to the store that we buy them from. Cash works everywhere and for anything. That, in my humble opinion is the easiest and best prize available unless sponsor donated.

I am asking this question however because we as a group belong to you the gamer and you guide the policies of the party.

Bluchez: you wish! Ask Goodboy...maybe he's available Smile

At this point it looks like at least half of you want Motherboards, processors, video cards, and other computer components.

Let me ask your guys this....for those of you who want this option, since there is literally several hundred thousand options for these products as far as brands and models go, instead of us picking out the product for you and you not getting what you want...what if we offered a gift certificate good for any hardware item you want from my company, at the price I usually give to gamers, which usually meets or beats mail order. Would that be better than or worse than the staff picking a mobo, card, etc. and giving it out as a prize?

By the way, about the only thing I can't get is PC games....go figure, but almost any hardware, software or consumer electronics is at your disposal...sooooo

Comments....

Gamestop certificates would be best. It would take a lot of work for it to be ethical for the OKGG to purchase gift certificates from TechUNL.
