Do prizes for tourney winners influence your desire to attend the LAN?

Ok, since i wasn't at quakecon, I'll jump back on track.

For me, the prizes do not matter. It's cool to win something, but a Lan is about the games. If I like what's being played, I'll try to make it.

Oh, and I have to make sure the wife's working that weekend. She just doesn't understand how I would want to hang out with a bunch of computer geeks all freaking day while playing "games" instead of being with her. Shocked

I find it amazing that the number of votes in the poll is actually LESS than the number of ppl signed up Rolling Eyes

Hard to get an idea of the entire groups desire when there are over 125 people signed up in the forum member list! Where are the other 100 votes?

Well, about prizes and stuff. I believe prizes are just a way to make it more interesting. If there were no prizes people will still show up though.
oh yeah. i got a computer this week so ill be there to play some games.

Not that I am a CS-junkie or whatever, but will we be playing any CS? I like BF and DC and all but CS iswhere the roots are. Razz

either way though, if i can get a ride ill be there!

well this month nVidia sent us some glow badges, posters, 2 t-shirts, 2 mouse pads (not ruined this time) and some of those big case stickers. Got 12 Bawls too! so even if you suck at the tourneys, we tend to give this stuff away either first come first served (like glow badges and case stickers) or in the raffle. so you have a good chance of getting something no matter what.

and I find it hard to believe someone didn't feel in on the group of us core okgg'ers... you just have to talk to someone... or for no reason yell out "OoPS! I crapped my pants!"
