It's Alpha is very live and easy to get and use. Hit the website, click on the "GET UT" button. Sign up for an account install the launcher, download is around 5-6GB in it's current state.
It's Free, and they're following the DOTA funding model (pay for cosmetics to fund game. And if you make cosmetics, you can get them approved and get a chunk of the sales.)

So far it's just CTF and DM, but Zoom-Instagib and Lowgrav are already available.
