Squad up or be a commander is all I can say. Also, I don't know if its still a thing, but I loved playing the AIX 2.0 mod for BF2. Its quite buggy but worth the effort.

So I should install BF2 then?

I'd totally get into some arma if I had people to play with. I have ARMA 2 and the expansions.
