I'm a sicko

Man this cold/flu season has been killer on me and my family. We all have had the flu. Both my wife and my son has/have bronchitis (wife still fighting it). According to my doctor my wife was hours away from pneumonia. My son was the first with strep. I've had strep... twice... both times accompanied by ears being infected. Currently I have yet again a sore throat, although not strep (I know what that feels like well enough now), and an ear infection, along with the usual drainage/cough/sneezing of a cold. Doctor says its all because everything going around right now has become resistant. My son was taken off the amoxicillin and was put on augmentin for his bronchitis and it kicked his ass hard. Wife has had both a z pack and regular amox. I took a full corse of amox. I'm headed for the doctor this afternoon fo this fraking ear infection... probably going to get more amox or a z pack.

I'm just sitting here going... WTF??

It's not just you, everyone has been getting resistant crud. It's likely what killed my wife's grandmother.

Had this crap for the entire month of December. I'd get better...then NOPE it'd hit me like a freaking truck again. I had to literally quarantine myself off from the family, then, when I started feeling better, stayed cut off for another 24 hours, THEN I had to scrub the room down top to bottom, and finally after another 2 weeks into January the cough went away. It was terrible.

We all had strep, starting with my daughter, then my wife and I and shortly after my son had it. What was weird is it didn't hit his throat, rather it formed a legion on his chin that looked like a horrible fever blister. My wife was devastated thinking was going to have them for all his life, and was actually relieved that it was strep.

We all dosed up and got better, and then I had a strange cold like symptoms. They came on after I made a snowman with my son and within 4 hours I felt like I was 3 days into a full on cold. It only lasted a couple days but was the most intense cold I can remember having. I always thought "catching a cold" from being in cold weather was BS, but it seemed like that is exactly what happened to me.
