I'm using it too.
Runs fine, less resource intensive than 7, only cost me $45. Haven't had any issues with it at all. Has some nice features like more thorough dual monitor support built in (finally.) All the hate is really quite pointless.

8 has been way more stable for me than Win 7 ever was. Run a start menu replacement and you'd hardly know the difference.
And my copy only cost me $14.

Even with desktop mods, I dont see any real reason to upgrade. 8 doesnt have any exclusive features that I dont already have or want. Its not like going from XP to Vista to get DX10. _________________ CPU : Core i5 3570K

My point is made. Only losers use 8. _________________ K-SWISS Power cologne. Who knew you could bottle the scent of boner?
You should OC that thing. You can easily match stock 7970 performance. _________________ CPU : Core i5 3570K

XFX Double D, not happy with the cooling. On my second one, first one burned out. _________________ Core i7 4790K

I had the same thing happen to me with a GTX 570. Not fun replacing dead cards _________________ CPU : Core i5 3570K

Just built a friend a machine with a 7950 xfx double D. I thought it cooled pretty well, except for how loud it got when it ramped up to 100% What burnt the card out? The cooler fans die or was it something else?

One of the the fans died while gaming. Lost video signal, would not post. Opened her up, card was insanely hot, would not work after cooling off.
Had a Sapphire 6950, fan died on it. Bought the 7950 and sent off the 6950. Got the 6950 back and the 7950 died. XFX was easy to return, Sapphire never returned my calls and took a week to respond to my email. _________________ Core i7 4790K

Good thing xfx has a lifetime warranty. I just ordered an MSI 7950.
