A Quest

You're passing by the market when you hear a barker. He has word of a mysterious cave that has opened after a landslide. Noises have been heard as well as lights. He's heard of a man going in and not returning. The locals have disappeared mysteriously and none knows where they have gone. The King suspects that they have been taken into the cave.

500 gold to the adventurers that rescue the towns people from the cave or return with news of their demise.

This quest requires a party of 3. Do you wish to join?

Anreill, the reluctant (class) has maybe chosen to enter into this adventure. Anreill looks around to find others to join his party maybe. He spots Brules on his way to Ye' Olde Tavern. A chuckle is heard from those in the street as Brules falls into the town Grue pit.

LainP7, a (class) of great spirit has agreed to join the adventure. Anreill, the Reluctant's comments fall on deaf ears. Nobody talks about why the town has a grue pit.

Can I be a Grue?

(Alternatively, what sort of setting is planned here? Hard to pick a class without a bit of information.)

Grues go into the Grue pit. The people of the King's realm are free to choose any class profession they desire. The cave is dangerous, it is likely booby trapped and contains dangerous beasts both dumb and intelligent. Perhaps a wizard, warrior and rogue could accomplish the task. You must consider a possible fourth party member.
