How about this? Three tournies, one is for prizes, the other two for bragging rights.

Q3 3v3 CTF
Counter Strike

That way we cover several interests. Comments please. Serious ones, we need to know what everyone wants to play.....

I could go more for a ut2k3 tourney... All in all though, it would be nice to have a set game/map soon so some of us can start practicing...

Remember how many times we asked this on the "classic" tourney? And we still found out the day of the tourney. Good luck.

Yes, to be fair to everyone the game/map/patches/rules should be posted well in advance. That puts each person on the same playing field. I also think that posting configs is a nice thing (both player and server), but that is just me.

It should be a level playing field... Smile

Guys... no matter how much some may not like CS and equal amount don't like Q3.

I think Goatheads list works, covers all bases..... and I like the idea of swapping Q3 with UT2K3.

UTK3 may not be a bad idea....since we did Q3 last month.

Also don't forget Halo will be out by the next LAN. So....if it turns out to be as good as alot of people hope...? I am keeping a CLOSE eye on it, as I have been hearing good stuff about the Mplayer on it.

So keep that in mind guys...

Skip those 3 let's do a HaloPC CTF tournament. Assault mode. We can still have a bf1942 tournament also, as well as CS or ut2k3 if people want to play it. But for the tournament let's do Halo

Friend of mine is already playing and loves it.

Seems like most people are boycotting Halo [PC]... And so far it looks positive for a UT2K3 Prize tourney due to all the responces... I would also like to see a team DC [non CTF] for bragging rights...

Is there anyway we can have a final say on these by the first? Really, who's in charge here??? Put your foot down! Very Happy Very Happy

The Staff technically run the show, but you, the gamer, is in charge. let us hear what YOU wanna do.

personally, i wanna see a ut2k3 team tourney of some sort for prizes and a DC team tourney of some sort for bragging rights. we always seem to do instagib bombing run and conquest for ut2k3 and DC, respectively, so let's try something different, like ctf on both.

Sounds good to me:

1) UT2k3 3v3 CTF - I would like something FAST and maybe low gravity? Lots of weapons or instagib?

2) DC CTF (Do 2-3 teams? or small teams?) I would like to see DC CTF done on a mid sized map maybe with lots of vehicles? I havent done much CTF so those of you who have: PIPE IN! Are any of the new maps good for CTF or maybe a custom map???

3) POSSIBLE POSSIBLE Halo....? I think we can hold of on this till right before. If it comes out and is a killer game and everyone gets it, then maybe it is an option? If not, no sweat and whoever wants to can play it. And the boycoters can see how good it is/isn't.

Does that sum it all up well enough?

Ok... How about instagib then... We need a map... Nothing huge due to small team sizes... I will play around with some maps here in a min to see...

grrrr... You peeps are really into BF1942/DC CTF... Oh well... We can do that... Someone speak up about a map for this!

As for Halo... Lets face it... We are all going to buy it... It's an addiction... So maybe not a tourney for Oct, but maybe Nov... I am sure there will be some game play of it though... We can all at least check it out Smile
