Honestly, I've played 3 total rounds, 2 of which lost connection (router problems on my end, wasn't the game's fault)... and having played operation metro those 3 times, I've yet to see a vehicle on the map. But I am very glad prone is back.

Also, you need to update tot he beta Nvidia drivers as the game directs you. The last "windows approved" driver is buggy as hell with it.

Played a few more. No vehicles in the beta map. Which is a bit of a bummer.

Some complaints,

Shitty experience to play a game. It should be 1 step to launch a game. I don't mind having the origin app installed on my computer. I don't mind having to use that app to play said game. What I do mind is the enormous number of steps necessary to play the game.

Here are the current steps: Launch Origin app --> Sign in --> Click play game --> Launch Web Browser --> Sign in again --> Click Find Match --> Download Plugin --> Wait for plugin to download --> Install Plugin --> Relaunch web browser --> Open Origin app --> Sign in --> Click Play game --> Launch Web Browser --> Sign in again --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Join Laggy match --> Get booted --> Have to close game --> Launch Origin App --> Sign in --> Click Play Game --> Launch Web Browser --> Sign In --> --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Get Error --> Click find Match --> Join game --> Kill 2 people --> Game crashes --> Repeat.

All these steps can be removed. Here is how it should go: Launch origin app --> Sign In --> Click play game --> Find match --> Play! --> Decide to play on another server --> Find another server --> Win.

More or less, though the whole error thing will hopefully be resolved upon release.

I'm actually okay with the browser based launching. If it was a little more optimized it seems like it would be a quick and effective system. Also of note, you don't need to open Origin first. Just go to the Battlelog site, autologin if it's enabled removes that step, hit multiplayer, find server, join. As long as Origin is set to login automatically you never actually have to muck with it.

Sounds like a heaping pile of console port. Sad

It almost plays like a console port.

It's not that it plays like a console port, it's actually not. It's that DICE failed at the one major thing they always fail at, netcode.

Hit detection is client side. If it doesn't change by release, this was a waste of money. Only played maybe 6 hours and I'm already fed up with the game because I'm tired of being picked off because of lag. BC2 is the only BF game that hasn't had shit hit detection so far, cause it was on the damn server.

Further thoughts:

Hit detection really is fucked, fortunately the devs have already stated they're planning on working on it before release.

It also seems to be specific to certain people. I had a guy that I snuck up on three times in Caspian, got behind him, shot him 5-6 times in the head. Every shot registered a hit on my crosshair. After several shots, he spun around, fired once, and I died. Killcam showed him with 100% health. Since this kind gentleman was being stupid enough to keep camping in the same spot, I figured I'd go back with a shotgun.

He wasn't in quite the same place, but I found him after a bit of looking around. He was prone next to a rock. Being that it seemed like a fun idea, I climbed up on the rock and walked over so I could look straight down at him. At this point my shotgun barrel from a 3rd person perspective was probably clipping into his head, but I decided to see what happened and aimed center mass. Center mass, with the barrel TOUCHING the target, I fired 3 times with the normal shot shells. Each hit registered. The player then stood up and started to walk off. I fired again, shooting him in the back. This also registered. He turned around and shot me in the face with his pistol. One shot. Dead. 100% health remaining when the killcam came up.
