Recomendations for New Monitors  Reply with quote

Well it's about time to get some new monitors, I'm running off two 19" monitors that I got about 4 or 5 years ago. I'd like a widescreen monitor around 20" or so, and built in speakers would be awesome with how I have my KVM set up.

What are your guys thoughts, I was thinking a samsung monitor, and I would prefer to keep the cost under $200 per monitor.

Speaking from having both a samsung and several Dell monitors I can say I have been extremely happy with either brand....no real issues. If I had to choose I would say the DELL is the better brand to get....

Careful that you don't sit too close to vince at the LAN. He may use his loyalty cannon on your new monitor. Then, since you're stuck with uef, you can't do anything to retaliate. Except send units that will just get captured.

Well I read some stuff, and after realizing my current LCD I use at home is rated at 25ms, I went ahead and purchased two of the dells due to price and connectivity options.

Well the new monitors came in today, and I love them. Only thing is, they are so wide that I have to have them angled so that if you put a stick side to side on the monitors, and measured to the center where they are curved in, it is about 6 inches. By comparison, I normally have that depth set at less than 1 inch.
