Anyone who attended the OKGG LAN on 9.19.09 probably heard Goodboy talking about his Symantec AntiVirus blocking something from his computer. While we did give him a rash of crap about using Symantec products, I can tell you that you should scan with something like MalwareBytes if you were there. Here's why:

This morning I got about 15-20 IE windows popping up and stating that they had to close because of an error. I ran MalwareBytes and found seven infections! They included:

Trojan.Vundo.H
Trojan.Agent
Trojan.BHO
Security.Hijack

So whoever is running an unclean computer...shame on you and clean up your act before the next LAN. Everyone affected, cleanse thyself.

I think it's be pretty cool to have a stickied checklist of stuff to run. I have been out of the IT side of stuff long enough that I didn't even know about the program mentioned above.

Wow thats interesting news.. I know it wasn't me cause mine was a fresh install but now im gonna have to clean it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

He swears up and down it was from the Need for Speed files on my machine, but I've checked my machine and checked the files in the archive and other than the typical false positive on a file that reloaded released, I didn't see anything.

I got it too. Malwarebytes found 8 problems. I think it was the Need for Speed stuff. This was a fresh install 2 weeks ago and that was the only suspicious thing I've run.

The only thing I would know that would make a difference is Win7. Goat isn't on it. But Menos, you are, so that doesn't work...

I downloaded two files for that. Tried both, only one worked. But when I scanned both of them they were clean and I've scanned my machine with MBAM since the LAN with no infected files found.
