FUCK! Had mega post typed up and shit ass forum ate it!

Ok so I am back at this. I want to build a new system, mATX for factor, best bang for the buck posssible! If any of you equipment whores have equipment i can use to do it, I would deffinately be interested.

What I want is a good fast system on the budget. So a good mobo, but no the fastest CPU. Good vid card but not he quad SLI set up that runs at 10000 FPS. Smile

I need to get a list together and then send it to Mike so he can hopefully get it all together and have it ready for me to pick up when I am in town for the 4th of July.

What I have in mind so far:

Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144139 - $99
Mobo: - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128397 - $89
CPU: - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103656&cm_re=phenom_ii_quad_core-_-19-103-656-_-Product - $145
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231193&cm_re=4gb_ddr3-_-20-231-193-_-Product - $109
HD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284 - $99
Video:
DVD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106335 - $30

I would prefer good mobo with a slower CPU that I could upgrade in time to a faster one, but would like quad core - just the lower end that is available.

Vid card I have no idea.....I am so out of it in this area.....I need the most help in this aspect. Also needs to fit into the above case.

Thanks guys! Hope to have this done soon so that I can at least LAN with you all on the BF server!!!!

I have to tell you. I built a computer in that case and then sold the case because it is shit. I would pick it up by the handle and the face plate would come off. I'd never taken the screws out of the front that hold the face on, and they stripped the first time I picked it up after the build. Granted I had a ton of HDDs in it, but it still pissed me off. I went with the previous model of that same case instead.

I dont see myself picking it up......will sit on desk for eternity. So it isnt really a LAN casem, just a small inexpensive mATX with PS......so it should be ok. Thanks for the FYI though. Now figure out the rest for me! Smile

I saw Phenom recommendations and will just throw out that I have a Phenom X4 9600, and it is crap. Might be my last AMD cpu for a while. I would encourage you to spend the extra $100 for a comparable Intel based setup, even if it was only dual core.

Phenom IIs are really a step above the Phenoms, they are very competitive with i7s in real-world gaming and overclock quite well. I think they are easily the best bang for the buck right now in most things.

That 4670 I am selling was paired with a gigabyte motherboard and Athalon II X2 240.....

The motherboard has been awesome so far and has a lot of features. according to newegg it supports Phenom II

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128394&Tpk=ga-ma785gm-us2h

just my recommendation...
