I don't think the system is all that important. As long as you have a decent (acceptable fps with detail turned down) rig and a mouse/keyboard combo that you're comfortable with, that's all that that matters imo. Beyond that it's all about practice and skill.

like others have said, it's not about the system. you can turn down graphic options in games to make it playable. it is all about practice, practice, practice. once you get good at one, you're more than likely to be good at anything else that comes out. just look at bypass--he's good at everything cuz he got really good at the quake series games.

I'm all about the community it builds, having fun, meeting new friends. Its never been about the swag. Although I have enjoyed a few free movie passes!

Lol, like I said, prizes dont mean shit to me. I have a pretty decent system (3500 score 3dmark2k3), and I am not bad at games like quake 3... I just have a way of absolutly forgetting how to play during tournaments. I think a lot of people do this also. They do pretty well during open play, or ctf teams, but when it comes down to playing 1 v 1 or a dm toruney, they just blow goats.

I absolutely suck ass at all games....unless we pulled out a worms armageddon tourny or something ( BTW, I'd show up if we did that...), so tourny prizes mean dick to me.
