Basically it's an FPS set in a Sci-Fi setting with infantry, tanks, and space ships. The first video on Steam gives some basics but the second video is a strong walkthrough of their intent.

Don't rush out, its still pretty rough. I tried it last night and couldn't get through the tutorial due to bugs. I tried some MP combat and there were 3 people online, 2 of them in a private server. I played some "MP" against bots and it was very planetside and isn't close to polished.

Agreed it is very early beta. Looks like it has serious potential though.
