8.9 wasnt it? Absolutely horrbile.....kicker is, this Tsunami and the 2004 one weren't really that large compared to the historic world data. Mother nature can be one nasty bitch it seems......those vids show 20' Tsunami......imagine a 50-100' one?!?!?

Thats pretty big.....I can't imagine a 50-100' wave though.

I am amazed at the EQ vids, 99% of the people are like "oh hey its an EQ...." and the majority of the bldg's dealt with it well. Saw one crazy vid where you can see the buildings swaying like MAD.....crazy crazy stuff.

Anyone else wondering if all the whales in the pacific joined together in a coordinated attack as a final "fuck you" for being hunted?

Aflac fired Gilbert Gottfried for being an ass and making jokes about the Japan tsunami.

I guess the former voice of the duck didn't realize that 75% of his paycheck came from Japan. What an idiot.

Upgraded to a 9.0 and now they think a reactor is on fire.....not good. I think in the end this will be as bad as Chernobyl without the violent explosion.

It does indeed look really bad. Japan is also one of the worlds largest economies, a major travel hub, and a supplier of cars, car parts and electronics components. If they face a nuclear disaster along with the quake and tsunami issue and potential additional quakes and tsunamis they could virtually collapse as a major player.
