I loved portal. I actually agreed with most of the hype out there that its was fun and innovative. I too can not wait till Portal2. I'm hoping that the added cash and "expertise" isn't going to ruin it.

Portal 2 ain't out yet....looks like they are going to delay it a little....Now there are rumblings about hl episode 3 being released finally.....

And yeah the game makes you think Brules....I made it through half the advanced challenges before admitting defeat Sad

Like most games, there are a handful of gimmicks to figure out. Try a walk-through. Portal has a somewhat corny ending, but I still think it is one of the best video game endings of all time, probably because of the unexpected song that I have now ruined for you.

I'm seriously surprised you didn't play this when the Orange Box came out. ... but yes, it is very challenging. Please do try to complete it without using "sv_cheats 1" in your console. If there were a list of games everyone should have played over the last decade, Portal would have to be in the top 5.

I can't think of another game that I'd put over Portal for the #1 must-play game in the period 2000-2010.
