Shovelin snow  Reply with quote

I've been out since daylight this morning shoveling snow. I've made almost 300 bucks. I hope it snows like this next weekend too.

We've got a snow blower up here in Colorado. I had to parallel park between two 14 feet mounds of snow.

Man, I'm wore out. I shoveled 8 driveways. Each took 45 min to an hour to clear. I didn't really start feeling the ache until a couple hours ago.

Shovelin snow will wear you out for sure. I had to do mine with a regular shovel. I couldn't find a snow shovel. Luckly I have a small drive way.

If you ignore the problem, it will go away.

People were confused when I railed against the socialist road-salting snowplow trucks.

If you're too lazy to get a job and go buy your own snowmobile, why should my taxes pay for you to get out of your neighborhood?!

Say no to communism, you hippies!

I say we get rid of our socialist police force too. Why should my tax dollars go to protect you when your home is invaded and your wife is being raped while you kids are in the room after they shoot you in the head?

You'll be happy to know that the police don't have a duty to protect anyone.

Warren v DC settled that one.

This comment thread is from Freepers, but it quickly runs down the relevant cases:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1976377/posts

Most recently:
7/15/05 SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES No. 04-278 TOWN OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO, PETITIONER v. JESSICA GONZALES, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS NEXT BEST FRIEND OF HER DECEASED MINOR CHILDREN, REBECCA GONZALES, KATHERYN GONZALES, AND LESLIE GONZALES
On June 27, in the case of Castle Rock v. Gonzales, the Supreme Court found that Jessica Gonzales did not have a constitutional right to individual police protection even in the presence of a restraining order.

I can certainly see the logic in that.
