Wish him luck man. Its hard getting rid of stuff you don't need anymore for a decent price.

Not to be a dick, but $365 is about what I'd get selling one of my GTX 295s. If he's serious about selling it he'll want to drop the price. Those have been selling for $290-$320 used for a couple of months on FS/FT forums.

The brand will also come into play, a Powercolor is obviously going to go more towards the $290 range while an HIS or VisionTek will command a higher price point.

Also keep in mind when pricing it that there are NEW, much cheaper, much lower power, SINGLE GPU, DX11 cards out now that come close enough for my money to matching this thing in performance. (ie the 5850)

Realistically, depending on your game, with that $260 5850, your talking at 4xAA and 8xAF at 25x16 a difference on the order of about 10fps at max settings. When your talking about frames per second being up in the 50's or above, and in some games in the hundreds, the difference in 10 fps is really not that noticeable. Or for $20 more than his price he is asking one could get the 5870 which will beat it in terms of performance in every way

So, again, also not wanting to be a dick here, but your friend needs to understand that his card is now competing with a whole new line of GPU's at that price point.

I am notoriously a cheapass but, respectfully, that card should sell closer to that 5850 price, possibly lower, to gain a buyer willing to buy it used over a new product with more features.

The review on http://www.techpowerup.com/ of the 5850 had the 4870 X2 being faster in most games, brah.

Oh, you led off with the 5850 and I totally missed you bringing up the 5870. Oops.
