July LAN Tourney

Welp, as it looks from the signup sheet so far, that Q3, FO2 and UT2k4 are the top three contenders for next month's LAN. I suppose I should start thinking about the Tourney. Since Q3 was done last month, and FO2 isn't really setup all that well for a tourney, how bout a UT2k4 tourney of some sort?

I'm thinking teams this go 'round, and a small prize to each of the team members of the winning team.

What ya'll think, CTF, Team DM, Asslut, Double Dom, Bombing run, what?

Any Mods? I'm thinking at teh least QuadJump and LowGrav. BigHead is a nice touch tho

We'll have the server setup by then, and an HTTP redirector in place so if you dont have the particular UT map it will take seconds to automatically download, insted of 30 minutes. heh

Also, did you like they way I did the Q3 map rotation, with no advance notice of the maps to be played, or would you rather we decide on some soon so you can get your n00b skillz bettered?

And I think the only fair way of doing the teams is a random pick of say 3 or 4 people?

I think Bombing Run would be fun just for a nice change. Would probably have to do it by teams though.

you guys know what you should do is do one big game of invasion, player with the most points wins a prize. that's sure to kill at least an hour (or two if you peeps know how to hunt down some aliens).
