I'm hoping to come this month, but my son's birthday party is next weekend and not sure if my wife will murder me after I tell her I'm going or not.

LOL...Two excuses. I have a permanent calendar event every third Saturday called OKGG LAN Party. Everyone in my entire family knows I will not be available for ANYTHING that day! We even work vacation around it!

I'm in the same place Brules. My son just turned 5 yesterday and my daughter is about to turn 10. He'll be a frequent lan goer, but she won't be. My responsibilities as a father will always superscede my need to game and I'm not ashamed to say that. When it works out that I can make the LAN, I'll be there. Hopefully tomorrow is one of those days.

I just played a couple rounds. Its a bit clunky but not bad overall. It didn't like 4K graphics on my 670GTX but I wasn't surprised. There was no playable tutorial and the HUD isn't much of a help. There are a bunch of keys that do shit that I didn't understand at all. It pales in comparison to PAYDAY 2.

Payday 2 is amazing, though!

I hope they resolve the R6 issues since that franchise is one of my favorites.

PD2 was fun when it came out......I made it to lvl 100 and got bored though. Was a killer game though. Hopefully they can polish RBS before release......

Full game is out but I've been working my butt off all hours of the day/night. I have done 2 'missions' that teach you to play and those are good. Will report back someday when time permits gameplay.

Ive been on the fence as I heard it was buggy as hell at release. I think I will snag it once they do some patches. Looks like a fun LAN game for sure though.

No LAN play, 5v5 matchmaking matches (at least they're using dedicated servers). If the party system is 5 max, there's no way to 5v5 with both teams being LAN people without getting lucky on queuing up at the same time, so somebody needs to find that since I've looked into it with no luck, Detox? Oh, and Uplay.

I'd love a good R6 game again, but have long since learned not to trust anything Ubisoft does. If it turns out good and we can get a full 5v5 going with just LAN people, I'll be in. Even though Uplay sucks ass. Also hopefully they allow larger matches at some point. This trend of small teams is getting old. Was a huge problem for us w/ L4D/2 and Payday/PD2. It's ridiculous that basically everything now you're limited to joining with MAYBE 6 people at once/on the same team/without the risk of getting split up.

I'm not HUGELY opposed to matchmaking. It works well if they're using the right factors to calculate how the matches are done. Rocket League's ranked mode is a pretty good example of doing it right. Skill levels for ranked end up similar. Peer to peer matchmaking is complete bullshit though.

Yeah but if you want to play with friends who are lower rank and there is nothing but matchmaking, you are fucked.

Asked around a bit. It's possible to do premade 5v5 via a custom game. So we can get 10 people from the LAN into one game.

Also, Insurgency might be worth looking into. It's gotten a lot of good press lately. Standalone game that was originally an HL2 mod, some of the same people that made Red Orchestra involved. Has dedicated server client and 32 player cap. $15 on Steam.
