Hermmm... seems after reading some of the reviews its kind of hit or miss getting one of these that works, but seems like they are getting replaced if they are not working.

Time to roll the dice? hehe

As long as it's not a Crucial... Crucia's warranty for SSDs kind of sucks.

I've used their RAM on a couple of my builds back when I had a desktop, and each time performed fine. Never used one of their SSDs, though. But Shinare is right, for your OS drive, it's a big step up in performance from a HD to an SSD.

Not worth the risk though......seems like fail rate is pretty high.

Newegg also has a deal on a Crucial 250G SSD for $89, but performance is mid-range.

Typical newegg.com. Cheap? Yes, but if it's cheap then: Crap, Yes!

BTW: Evidently this is a pretty old SSD based off of an old Sandforce2 controller with only 4 chips rather than the full 8. Newegg must be liquidating backstock of it. I passed on this.
