^beta signup there^

Dreadnought has been described as World of Warships, only set in the future... meaning space cruisers, destroyers, etc.

I just got in on the beta today. I'll give further feedback after I've played a few rounds. But figured I should share in case anyone else was interested in this sort of thing, as a figure a number of you would be.

Watching on Twitch right now and it looks amazing. It looks a lot more fluid then Fractured Space. Hoping to win a beta code tonight. If not I'll probably founder pack my way in.

My thoughts so far:
- Game play is very smooth for a beta, very few issues when you are actually in the game
- Ship balance is good, I like the corvette the best (like stealth bombers in EVE) and the cruisers (support role)
- There is no lock mechanism so its hard to see what your friendly ship status is
- Communication is critical, especially for the cruisers given that you can't check other friendlies while helping your current target
- Matchmaker is often very fast (less than 20 seconds), but occasionally super slow (more than 25 minutes), I suspect the attempt just crashes
- The menu system and interface is super clunky and needs a LOT of work
- It is a beautiful game but isn't going to monopolize my time unless it gets a lot better
