David Tennant is pretty good!

It's on Netflix, go check it out.

I honestly have been so burned out on the 10000 reboots that series has had....plus lost track of what is what. Link? I am interested in checking it out...!

Christopher Eccleston is the first Doctor in the new series. I prefer the second Doctor (David Tennant).
The first season was pretty good anyway, IMO.

I grew up watching Tom Baker and Peter Davison as the Doctor so I remember a lot of stuff from the show.

Ok yeah I watched some of season 1 - someone at the LAN turned me on to them. Agree, the Eccleston guy just didn't work, thus why I gave up on it. Other than him though, was a good reboot. He just wasn't Dr material.

depends on what plan you have.... You can have only streaming or you can have streaming +1 or 2 disk out at a time. Starting Sept. 1 they are going to start charging for streaming and disk so pretty much increasing price by 60%. Most likely will drop to only streaming and end up saving money.

My understanding is the same as Goose. If you are only streaming, you're price will go down a little. If you stream and get DVD's it will go up. My bet is they'll have enough backlash that they'll re-adjust before the change or shortly after.

Oh, and back on topic... I've only watched a handful of Dr. Who. I think they were Eccleston and while I like him in certain roles, I couldn't see the spark in the show. It seems like something I'd love but I think I need to start somewhere else. From those who are familiar, where is a good place to start?

Streaming only has been available for $7.99 for a long time, that hasn't changed at all. There is just no good cheap way of combining DVDs and streaming now.

Starting at episode 12 of Season 1 would be good. The end of Season 1 was great!

Not a lot of people liked Eccleston. He was a bit intense for a Doctor.
Rose got on my nerves at first but eventually grew on me.
